Looks From The Runway...

These will be your fail safe makeup looks this winter, whether you’re busting out a move on the dancefloor, at dinner with the girls or on a hot date!

Bold Lip & Liner
There is nothing that radiates confidence more than a woman who dares to wear a bold lip. The recent RAFW runways were covered with dramatic lip colours, but I thought Karla Spetic did it best. Here are the how-to’s to make it work!

Step 1: Make sure face is primed and foundation base in on nice and smooth. Blend foundation into your jaw line and neck (a step missed by many)

Step 2: Find your liquid liner, I love Revlon Liquid Eye Pen in Blackest Black. Apply a thin line along the rim on the top lid. Start at the corner of the eye and work outwards. Once at the edge of the eye flick your liner out, this will enhance your eye, making it look longer.

Step 3: Sweep a soft blush onto your apples, making sure not to go wild!

Step 4: Apply your bold lip colour. At the moment I’m fixated on; Revlon ColorStay Ultimate in Brilliant Bordeaux (it lasts and lasts!) and Rimmel London Colour Show Off Lipstick in Pink Fame. Once you’ve made your choice pick up a lip pencil which is a similar colour to your lips. Now, usually it is said to use a similar colour to the lipstick you’re applying but it gets too hard and expensive finding the right pencil to match the lippie. The pencil will stop the lipstick from smudging outside the lines of your pout. Apply lippie with a lip brush beginning in the middle of the mouth and spreading outwards.

Step 5: Blot lips onto a tissue and reapply for longer lasting bold lip!

Peachy Tones
Do as Talulah did at RAFW this year. The soft touch of a peach eyeshadow, blush or lip can make almost any girl look feminine and chic. Tips for the perfect peach look...

Step 1: Take your peach eyeshadow, The Body Shop Eye Colour in 41, and lightly dust over the top eyelid up to the brow bone.

Step 2: Add a small amount of mascara, we want to keep it natural

Step 3: Pop a touch of gold shadow into the corners of the eye to open them up and brighten your face.

Step 4: Sweep Duwop Blush Booster in Pomegranate over your apples with a blush brush

Step 5: Apply your Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Coral Berry to your lips and you’re SET!

Blue Beauty
Aurelio Costarella brought blue back with a hint of liner! This is more suited for those with brown or blue eyes, those with green eyes should opt for a dark or light green eye pencil.

Step 1: We are going to bring back our peach eyeshadow and sweep over the eyelids. This is because peach and bronzed tones compliment blue.

Step 2: Take your blue eye pencil, my choices are Revlon Luxurious Color Eyeliner in Electric Blue or MAC Technakohl Liner in Smoothblue, and apply to the bottom lid rim on and under the eyelash line.

Step 3: You can smudge the liner if you wish, I like to do this to smooth out the pencil and take some heaviness away.
Step 4: Apply a nude to your lip, like MAC Satin Myth to make sure the blue really stands out and makes your peepers POP!
