Shots From the Fashion Files...

Are your brows in check?

Lusciously thick eyebrows are a trend from the 80’s that the beauty and fashion industries have brought back! The Brooke Shields Brows are probably the most sort after and most recognized eyebrows. With a few tweaks here and there, your brows have that ah-mazing ability to transform your face. Get the look!

The first part you need to work out is what shape brow is going to suit your face:

Squared Faces: Like Brooke, square faces need the thickness of their brows to balance out their jaw lines.

Oval Faces: You’re in luck! The shape of your face can pretty much get away with any shaped brow, like our girl Jennifer Aniston.

Heart Faces: Add roundness. Look at Julia Roberts’ heart shaped face. She has rounded out her brows to complement her face shape.

Round Faces: Ladies add an arch! This will draw attention from the width of your face.

If you already have full brows you’re almost there!  Use gel to tame your thick brows and use a brow brush to comb them upwards to create the Brooke Shield Brow.

If you’re brows are a little bit on the thin side use a brow pencil to ‘fill in the gaps’. If your brows are thin it’s probably because you’ve been over tweezing.  Constantly tweezing your eyebrows can make them grow back in an abnormal way, or possibly, one day they might not grow back at all!

Bushy eyebrows are in, so STOP over tweezing!

The liquid liner is famous! The beauty greats Brigitte Bardot, Sophia Loren and Anita Ekberg, all mastered the art of the liquid liner. Today, Nicole Richie, Lauren Conrad and Kim Kardashian have been recreating these looks of Hollywood’s most timeless actresses.

Hairstyles to solve your morning woes…

Ever had days when your hair is just BLAAAAA? Not doing anything? Well I’ve certainly had them, but I've learnt a few quick tricks over the years to solve this problem.

A top knot is simple, quick and chic...

Create your top knot in three easy steps:
Step 1: Tie hair up into a high pony tail and secure with a elastic.
Step 2: Separate hair into two strands, twist and then twirl them in opposite directions around the elastic.
Step 3: Secure with pins and you’re down! Easy!

Long hair? It’s fun to play with, but it does mean you need to pay more attention to it. On days when I feel like letting my hair down, I part sections of my hair and wrap in around a small curling iron. One I’ve curled it, I flip it! Shake it! And whip it back! You’re left with a simply effortless messy ‘do in under 15 minutes!

Half up, Half down? Yes please! This look is attracting sooooo much attention right now. It’s glamouress, yet relaxed. Perfect for the day or a dinner date!

To get the perfect half look we want beachie hair to work with:

Step 1: Leave hair to dry naturally and pop a sprits of sea salt on.
Step 2: Using your thumbs grab all the hair above the ear line and tie into a pony tail. It’s up to you whether you want the overall look to be high or low on the crown of your head. It will also depend on what look you’re going for; relaxed chic or glamouress goddess.
Step 3: Grab the pony tail and twirl it around the elastic into a messy bun and secure with pins. Or you can leave your hair in the pony tail and rock that ‘do instead.
Step 4: To soften the face, pull a few loose hairs out of the front and let them hang subtly. LOVE!!!
