Love Those Lashes...

Okay FABs, the time is here! This Thursday I'm heading off to Love Those Lashes to get semi permanent eyelash extensions. I've wanted to try this ingenious idea out for you all for quite some time now. I shall keep you updated!

You may not have heard about this invention, so you're probably thinking 'what the hell is she going on about?' Well, here goes...

Semi permanent eyelash extensions are a synthetic-style fibre polyester thread material, which is applied individually to add length, thickness and fullness to natural lashes. They're curved on application to replicate natural lashes. The polyester thread-like materials are available in different lengths and can last around a month, depending on the natural growth cycle of your lashes.

The procedure takes an average of 60 to 90 minutes for a full set, with 30 to 80 lashes per eye (a handy tip is not to have a coffee before you go in!). The individual lashes are carefully applied with tweezers and a special bonding agent. This should only be done by trained professionals so don't even think about doing this at home!

To make the look last, touch-ups are available every two to four weeks, taking up to 45 minutes a session. Try to avoid rubbing eyes and be extra gentle with them.

  1. A few tips I learnt from my many experiences of Eyelash Extensions.

    - Don't use oil based products on your eyes eg make up remover
    - Don't rub them or sleep on your face.
    - Be careful, they hurt when they take a dive into your eye!
    - Buy an eyelash strengthener to put on if you get them taken off.

Enjoy! They make your eyes pop and no more panda eyes!
